Daggubati Venkatesh was born on 13th December 1960 in Karamchedu, India. Victory Venkatesh, as he is known among his fans, is the producer D. Rama Naidu's a son. He has a brother D. Suresh babu who along with his father runs Suresh Productions, a Production company.
Venkatesh holds an MBA degree from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, USA.
His Wife's name is Neeraja and they four children Arjun, Aashritha, Hayavahini and Bhavana.

Venkatesh's debut movie was Kaliyuga Pandavulu (1986) which starred Khushboo. It won him the Nandi Award for Best New Actor. In 1988, he was as a painter in Swarnakamalam with Bhanupriya. Prema (1989) Won him the Filmfare Best Actor Award.
He had another major hit in Bobbili Raha (1989) with debutante Divya Bharati. he made some notable performances in movices like Coolie No.1 (1981), Kshana kshanam (1991), Sundara Kanda (1992), Chanti (1992) and Dhakram (1996).
Jayam Manade Raa ( 2000) with Soundarya was a high grosser and Venkatesh won the Filmafare Best Actor Award. Sankranthi (2005) was successful and his performance was recognized with the Santosham Best Actor Award. He Won another Santosham Best Actor Award for his performance as Ganesh in Aadavari Matalaku Arthalu Verule (2006) who is unemployed.
He will be starring in a remake of Bollywood movie A Wednesday with Kamal hasan. His other release in 2009 is Krishnam Vande Jagathgurum.
